Plug In America hosts workshop on EV charging in Boston

Most Americans have been pumping gas their entire life, but using a public EV charging station can be a new and different experience for many consumers. To help make the process easier, Plug In America recently convened a workshop in Boston called Making the EV Charging Experience Consumer-Friendly.

More than 50 attendees participated, representing state air quality offices, electric vehicle charging providers, vehicle manufacturers, and utilities. Participants discussed topics such as open access, payment options, and maintaining high reliability. They also considered requirements and payment technologies for EV charging stations in the Northeast funded by grant programs or otherwise supported by the states.

The workshop was held in partnership with the Northeast Coordinated States for Air Use Management (NESCAUM).
