State-level policy is incredibly important in increasing electric (EV) adoption. For example, the zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) program, enacted by 12 states, requires more makes and models to be available to consumers and increases EV sales. Today, we released a new report, Top 25 States Supporting the EV Driver, that shows states how they fare in supporting the EV driver.
This report lists the top 25 states that are leading the way with supportive policy measures currently implemented and enacted for the EV driver in four categories: for the EV driver pre-purchase, for the EV driver during ownership of the vehicle, policies that are enabling EV infrastructure build-out, and education and outreach activities.
Take action today and tell your state representatives how they’re doing in supporting the EV driver!
While the activity at the federal level is getting so much attention right now, we want to make sure that states are continuing to move forward and adopt bold policy measures that support the EV driver too. Both are needed to make putting a plug on every new car and truck by the end of the decade a reality.
Encourage your state representatives to move higher in the ranking by supporting EV driver policies!
Stay tuned for more action alerts for your specific state and at the federal level as the legislative sessions get underway.
